Not long after news broke that Republican 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney is seemingly gearing up for a go at the White House, another potential 2016 presidential contender shared his thoughts on the subject.
Republican Kentucky Senator Rand Paul was anything but restrained. He said Mitt Romney running for president again would be, “the definition of insanity.” Ha! You can’t help but chuckle at that one.
When you do the same thing and expect a different result, it’s sort of what Einstein said, that the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result,’ the senator told NH Journal in an interview published Wednesday,” Talking Points Memo reports.
According to the Huffington Post, Paul also said “Republicans need ‘a new approach, a fresh approach’ to attract voters in 2016, even after a successful run in the midterm elections.”
The Romney backlash doesn’t stop with Paul. At all. Numerous prominent GOP members have taken swings at Romney this week.
If Romney does choose to run in 2016, it would be his third try. Is third time really the charm?
